Troubleshooting
Summoning animations stutter or freeze
Close other browser tabs — the Summoning reveal animation is the most GPU-intensive moment in the game. If stuttering persists, check if battery saver mode is on. It throttles the GPU. On budget phones, enable 'Low Quality' in the game's settings menu to reduce particle effects during Summoning cracks.
Game loads slowly (10+ seconds)
Clear your browser cache — old cached assets can conflict with updates. Restart the browser if it's been open for hours. Dark Spiral's initial load is 10-14 MB, which should take 3-5 seconds on a decent connection. If you're on slow Wi-Fi, try 4G/LTE instead.
No sound during cascade chains
Check that your phone isn't on silent/vibrate. iOS specifically blocks audio until you interact with the page — tap the screen once after loading. Look for a speaker icon in the game's corner and tap to unmute. The cascade sound design is part of the experience — worth fixing.
Game doesn't fill the screen
Tap the fullscreen icon (diagonal arrow, usually bottom-right). On iOS Safari, scroll down slightly to hide the address bar. On Chrome, tap the three dots and "Add to Home Screen" for a full-screen web app experience with no browser chrome.
Cascade chain result delayed
Don't reload. Long cascade chains (8+ drops) send multiple server calls. If your connection hiccups mid-cascade, the game will reconnect and show the final result. Wait 15-20 seconds. Your balance and pending result are saved server-side — nothing is lost.
Touch controls unresponsive after bonus
This can happen when a long Twisted bonus round with multiple sticky Summoning symbols eats a lot of GPU memory. Try rotating to landscape and back to force a UI refresh. If controls stay broken, reload the game page. Your balance is safe.
